GONHER is founded by José C. González as a small workshop in downtown Monterrey, in the state of Nuevo León, in northern Mexico.
The first GONHER manufacturing facility is opened in downtown Monterrey. The production of oil filters, and heavy-duty fuel and air filters begins.
Strategically located branch offices are opened.
Ground is broken for the construction of a filter-manufacturing facility to be inaugurated in 1973.
Over the subsequent years, the number of distribution centers grows to 18.
GONHER increases its coverage to 22 distribution centers and enters the international marketplace.
The company diversifies its production, ventures into new domestic markets and starts exporting with the backing of QS-9000/ISO-9002 International Certification.
Today, GONHER has more than 3,000 employees nationwide, owns 36 distribution centers, and produces over 700 products.
The company continues to maintain its commitment to satisfying all it markets’ needs.
