![]() The explosion Inside an engine is due to a fuel mixture with air. The proportion between both ingredients is as follows: by each liter of fuel, an engine aspires around 10,000 liters of air. An engine is then, like an enormous air vacuum cleaner. And if you have seen how it is left the interior of a vacuum cleaner after passing it through the floors of a home, you will agree if you do nothing, the interior of the engine could be seen like the interior of a vacuum cleaner: Nothing to assure a long life. Here it is where the air cleaners start working, devices that clean the air of common and dangerous impurities that passes to the engine, like the dust, the soot generated by the exhaust pipe, the vegetal material that floats in the air and even the insects. The modern air cleaners are called as dry type (to distinguish them of previous filters, that has an oil coat), made from folding paper filter, and are capable to allow the free air flow to the engine and to restrain the passage of polluting agents. The automotive filters are commonly donut shaped whose interior has a steel mesh surrounded by a pliable filtering paper and an outer steel mesh cylinder. The structure is locked up in two caps adhered with plastisol, a glue of high resistance. All together, these filters have a 98% of efficiency as far as retention of impurities. The Gonher filters for heavy service are still more efficient: they reach a 99, 5 % of efficiency since its design uses a less porous filter paper, more consistent. In Gonher of Mexico, we manufacture more than 250 different models from air cleaners, for automotive as heavy service, according to the following:
Water Separators filters Assuring the cooling of the engine In the vehicles engines, mainly for heavy service, another fundamental component is the cooling system. It is very importance because in a heavy system, for example, it must be capable to eliminate one third part of the heat generated by the engine; it must to be highly efficient, and this only can be obtained through a cycle free of impurities. One of the more serious threats suffered by the cooling systems is the corrosion, caused by the mineral presence in the cooling fluids. These threats disappear by using (1) water with an appropriate level of purity, (2) high performance refrigerant fluids (3) corrosion inhibiting chemicals and other injurious processes, and (4) filters that guarantee the maximum particles retention in the system. For this, Gonher of Mexico manufactures different types of filters (Gp-2071w, Gp-1010q, Gp-1011q, Gp-1012q, Gp-1013q) that, associated with the other ingredients, can provide a high level of protection to cooling systems. |
